Montana State Senate President Pro Tempore Ken Bogner Announces Candidacy for U.S. Congress

Miles City, MT – Montana State Senator Ken Bogner, a staunch conservative and Marine Corps veteran, proudly announces his candidacy for the United States Congress in Montana’s 2nd Congressional District.

Born and raised in Miles City, Montana, Senator Bogner joined the U.S. Marine Corps upon his eighteenth birthday and was deployed for two combat tours into Iraq in 2006 and 2008 during his four-year enlistment.

"Montana deserves a representative who will vigorously defend our conservative values,” Senator Bogner stated. We need someone who will fight for our way of life, and someone who is actually ready to go to Congress to get something done.”

As Montana Senate President Pro Tempore, Senator Bogner has consistently championed conservative values. His legislative work has covered a wide range of issues including prohibiting foreign adversaries like China from buying our land, election integrity, and protecting individual liberties.

Senator Bogner’s younger brother also served in the U.S. Marine Corps; while deployed to Afghanistan he was wounded in action. Witnessing President Biden’s botched Afghanistan withdrawal motivated Senator Bogner to run for Congress.

“This is personal. We lost Afghanistan, we're losing at our southern border, and we'll lose to China if we don't push back. As a Marine, I cannot stand by and just let this happen. I am running to restore America’s strength. Joe Biden must be held accountable for weakening our military and our national defense. It’s time to send in a Marine to fight and take our country back.”

Senator Bogner's campaign will focus on several key priorities, including national security, fiscal responsibility, and government transparency. He knows a strong military and secure borders will protect America and its citizens. He is also committed to fiscal responsibility, advocating for a balanced budget and responsible spending in Congress, just like he has done in Montana’s state legislature.
