The Broadwater County Lions Club does regular vision and hearing screening tests for Townsend school children. The new vision screening machine is so fast that a line develops at the one hearing screening machine. To alleviate this problem, the Lions approached the Rotary Club of Townsend to see if they would help purchase a second hearing screening machine.
The Rotary Club Board of Directors unanimously approved the request. On December 11th, the Rotary Club presented a check for $1,500 to Townsend School Principal Christina Hartmann at the Rotary/Lions Senior Dinner at the Senior Center.
Rotary makes its money for community projects like this at our one fundraiser for the year, the Fall Fest. Rotary appreciates the support Townsend and Broadwater County residents and businesses give to the Fall Fest so Rotary can continue doing good things in the community.
