MT43 News Staff Reporter

Broadwater Community Theater in Townsend will host three Christmas performances this year. The annual dinner theater will highlight local children’s talent from the book by Barbara Robinson, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”.

Amanda Hazlett directs the play with an amazing cast of 25 students in the comedy about a family of mean children who bug their fellow students. The Herdman family of six steals lunches, pull hair and do dirty tricks in school. Somehow they get mixed up with the local church Christmas play, and well, it will be a surprise turn of events for all.

A catered dinner will delight along with a no-host bar and door prizes to finish the evening. Couples and friends will enjoy a full evening on Saturday, December 16 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Lodge, 131 So. Spruce.

Tickets are $40.00 per person.

The student actors will also perform Friday, December 15 at 6:00 p.m. and again at a matinee Sunday, December 17 beginning at 3:00 pm at the Lodge. Tickets are $10 at the door. Children under five may attend for free. Concessions will be available.

This is community theater at its best. Come and enjoy the show. All tickets are available at Reading Leaves or The Bird’s Nest in Townsend. Please call (406) 396-4168 or The Bird’s Nest (406) 266-1335.
