The high school Lady Bulldog volleyball team kept its place in the running for the state championship at the divisional tournament in Manhattan Thursday, November 2, according to an email from their coach Megan Bleile.

The team opened the tournament with Columbus to win 3-0. Friday saw the team play Baker High School with a 0-2 loss; however, the team came back to win the next three games. The final game was 17-15. Among all five sets, the team outscored Baker by 7 points. “It was a very intense game and with that win, we punched our ticket to state,” Coach Bleile pointed out.

The stress continued for the Lady Bulldogs that night as they played Huntley Project only to lose 0-3. Saturday, they played Columbus again beating that team 3-2. The Bulldogs’ winning streak ran out as they played Huntley for the championship with a 0-3 score. “We played with much more confidence and competed a lot better. We will play Fairview at the state tournament at Montana State University (MSU) Bozeman at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9,” she related.
