Lady Bulldogs Take District Championship

Broadwater High School Lady Bulldog volleyball team took first place at the Oct. 28 District Tournament in Manhattan after a hard-fought battle with Jefferson. The Lady Bulldogs lost that game in 5 points, according to coach Megan Bleile. “We had one game off and then we beat Ennis 3-0 to get back into the championship game,” she related in an email.
The team then went on to beat Jefferson 3-2 and then won the second championship 3-0. The Lady Bulldogs beat two school records: Emily Bird for assists in a match with 66 and Luci Horne for digs in a match with 44.
The team moves on to the divisional tournament at Columbus, Montana beginning at 5:00 pm Thursday, November 2. They will play the winner of the game between Columbus and Colstrip.
