Phillip McMurdie passed away on September 26, 2023, at Mountain View Medical Center in White
Sulphur Springs.
Phil was born on September 19, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lewis and June McMurdie. Phil and Lewis worked for J.C. Bangerter & Sons, Inc. in Layton, Utah and Reo McMurdie Company in Salt Lake City.
Phil lived in the Salt Lake City area until 1972 when he and his family moved to Townsend. Phil worked for several Broadwater County area farmers and ranchers and was a member of the Broadwater County Fire Department for many years before retiring to White Sulphur Springs.
Phil is survived by his daughters, Heidi Larson (Scot Vine) and Heather McMurdie of Townsend and grandchildren, Bradley Larson of Burlingame, California and Shelby (Jason) Collins of White Sulphur Springs. Phil is also survived by two great-grandsons, Kinder and Tegan Collins.
