Broadwater High School girls’ volleyball team will host Manhattan Thursday, October 19 at Broadwater High School and will sponsor a fundraiser, The Side-Out Foundation Dig Pink event.
Dig Pink event t-shirts will be sold for $15.00 each at the event before, during and after the volleyball match. The group intends to hold future basket raffles and bake sales to raise more funds.
The Side-Out Foundation is a Fairfax, Virginia nonprofit organization which dedicates most of its donations to their metastatic breast cancer research in addition to supporting support services for cancer patients and their families.
A portion of the proceeds raised in Townsend will be given to a community member currently fighting cancer of any kind.
