The Bulldogs football team hosted the Manhattan Tigers last Friday night. Fans came out in droves despite a constant downpour the entire game. The Tigers began the scoring when Michael Stewart ran in for a score with a quarterback keeper. The Tigers made it 0 - 8 with a two-point conversion.
Later in the first quarter, the Tigers would strike again when Stewart passed for a touchdown to senior Callin Fenno making the score 0 - 14. The Dogs made a strong defensive stand to end the first quarter.
The Tigers would strike again in the second quarter with a George Stenberg touchdown run. Tyson Bakke would add two more with a 2 point conversion for a halftime score of 0 - 22.
The loyal fanbase enjoyed some great entertainment as the Little Dog Cheer Camp performed at halftime. Allie Lampmanās squads led cheers and put on a great dance routine. The little cheer squads weathered the onslaught of rain with smiles on their faces.
The second half action would prove to be more back-and-forth battle as the rainy conditions worsened. With 4:18 left in the third quarter, the Tigers would punch the ball in with a 4-yard run by Keaton Sargent. A 2-point conversion would make for a final score of 0 - 30. Both teams continued to work hard until the end as the fourth quarter would remain scoreless.
The Bulldogs will be back on the road Friday as they will take on the Three Forks Wolves in Three Forks.
