Broadwater High School Football Squad Holds Scrimmage

Friday night lights were shining on the Blue and White Scrimmage game for the 2023 Broadwater High School football team. According to Head Coach Joe Horne, the 28 members who make up the team play a scrimmage or simulated game which is a kind of scripted practice rather than playing a regular game. “We try different players in different positions to see which play is the most successful,” he explained.
Coach Horne explained that this is the “first edition” of the 2023 BHS football team. They have new players, new coaches on staff and other coaches in new positions. The players focus one hundred percent on what they can accomplish both offensively and defensively. “We want to be good at our plays, not worry about the other team we play coming up,” he said.
BHS will play an away game with Cutbank Friday, August 25 at 7:00 pm. Coaches besides Horne are Justin Sell, Dan Hazlett, Josh Leonard, Mike Van Diest, Mike Schnittgen and Jace Lewis. Team manager is Berlin Korr.
