The criminal docket in Judge Michael McMahon’s courtroom on Friday, August 11 is as follows:
Vivian Cooper had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to felony criminal endangerment. It has been rescheduled until August 25.
Kale Murgal had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to aggravated assault; two counts of assault; and, obstructing a peace officer. Omnibus is due September 22; Pre-Trial is set for December 29; with the Jury Trial scheduled for January 22, 2024. A waiver of extradition was signed, as the defendant works out of state.
Justin Ahl had a Change of Plea; pleading Guilty to criminal endangerment; aggravated DUI (2nd) and fleeing or eluding. His elocution stated that while driving in Broadwater County, he drove impaired and did not stop when prompted by lights and sirens. He drove for two miles before stopping. He was found to have a blood alcohol content of .16 (twice the legal limit). His Sentence: One year in Jail (all suspended except for 15 days, for ct. 2. 10 days on ct. 4). He may apply for a probationary driver’s license. He has completed an alcohol evaluation, with proof given to the court. He has one year to complete his 25 days in jail.
Casey Smith appeared for a Petition to Revoke on allegedly failing to remain law-abiding, driving without a valid driver’s license, and driving without liability insurance. It is alleged that he continues harassing and stalking those who he has been ordered to leave alone. The address of 525 N. Pine must be vetted and approved. His Admit/Deny Hearing will be on August 18.
Levi Gadaire had his Sentencing on one charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs (meth). He is sentenced to five years at Montana State Prison; with 193 days credit time served. A Pre-Sentence Investigation was submitted.
Brandon Montrelli-Siaz missed a June payment of $3,000. There will be a Status Hearing on September 8.
Michael Billedeau was a court no-show. A warrant was issued with a $50,000 bond.
Codey Green had a warrant quashed. He will return to court on August 18.
John Coyle was found to have many pictures on his phone of naked/near-naked photos of minors. His bond is $100,000, concurrent to other Sentences. He must have no electronic devices that can access the internet. He may have a ‘flip phone’ for work; for texting and calling. His Pre-Trial is set for September 8; with his Jury Trial to follow on November 13.
