Transitional Kindergarten Meeting - July 24th at 6:30 pm

If your child is too advanced for preschool but not quite ready for kindergarten – perhaps because of a fall birthday – Transitional Kindergarten may be a solution.
Townsend School District is discussing the option of providing Transitional Kindergarten for the 2023/2024 school year. At this time, Transitional Kindergarten will only be available to children who still meet the age requirement to begin kindergarten, age 5 by September 10th.
The curriculum and approach in Transitional Kindergarten bridges the gap between preschool and elementary school, providing an extra year to acquire kindergarten readiness.
