New officers have taken the helm as the Broadwater County Lions Club enters its forty-second year of serving Broadwater County residents.
The new officers are Christina Hartmann – president; Kevin Reed - vice president; Richard Heida - 2nd vice president; Bob Brastrup – secretary; Teena Larson – Treasurer; Gary Olsen - Lion Tamer & Tail Twister.
Board members: Kevin & Lacie Reed, and Richard Heida. The membership committee is Richard Heida, Sheri Brastrup, and Lacie Reed.
The officers will be installed at the August meeting.
The club has many projects on its agenda for the next few months. Club members will travel to Helena on the 17 to watch the Helena Senators take on the Butte Miners in an American Legion baseball game.
The club will participate in the July and August Slice of Summer and help with an August golf tournament.
Also on the agenda, is parking cars at the rodeo.
The club will assist with a vision and hearing screening later this summer and will provide the A For Attitude books to third-grade students when school starts.
In addition, the club will evaluate requests for purchasing hearing aids and/or eyeglasses.
