Court Beat - June 2, 2023 Dee Gannon MT43 News Correspondent The criminal docket in Judge Michael McMahon’s courtroom on Friday, June 2 is as follows:

Gabriel Puga had an Initial Appearance on charges of (1) assault with a weapon and (2) theft (unauthorized control of property). He will be Arraigned on June 16. He is held on a $15,000 bond.

Rodney Wilson had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to charges of (1) criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute, (2) criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and (3) criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. He has two warrants out of Fresno California; with a total bond there of $300,000. Helena Indian Alliance is appointed to do a chemical dependence evaluation. On June 5 & 12, Wilson is to attend Behavioral Health Court at 2:30, by Zoom, if that’s available.

Joel Speiser had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to charges of (1) criminal endangerment, (2) criminal possession of dangerous drugs (ecstasy/MDMA), (3) felony theft (unauthorized control over property), (5)criminal possession of drug paraphernalia (scale used for weighing drugs), and (6) littering on the highway (Speiser threw one or more baggies onto I-90 while law enforcement was in pursuit). He pled Guilty to count 4; eluding law enforcement over Jefferson, Broadwater and Silver-Bow Counties. In his elocution, Speiser drove through Broadwater, Jefferson and Silver-Bow Counties to evade arrest. His Sentencing for this charge will be on July 14. Scheduling for the other charges are: Omnibus is due July 14; Pre-Trial is set for September 8; with the Jury Trial scheduled for October 10.

Robert Cluff had an Initial Appearance and Arraignment; pleading Not Guilty to a charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs (meth). Omnibus is due on July 7; Pre-Trial is set for August 4; with the Jury Trial scheduled for August 28.

Robert Bakke had his Omnibus. His attorney requested that the Sentencing be continued.
