New School Board Member: Jason Kool

I first want to thank the parents, staff, teachers, administration and community for their investment into the education of our children. The statement about taking a village is most definitely true. I want to thank Kevin and Todd for their work and dedication to the school and community and for the service they provided over the years. I want to thank the current board members and other candidates who took the time to run and invest as well. I want to thank many friends, acquaintances and family members as well as well as the voters of Broadwater County for placing their trust in me. I love living and raising my family in this small town.

As we move forward with the successes, challenges and issues facing our children in the world today, I hope we can seek community-based solutions which positively impact and grow the excellent reputation that Townsend has developed. I firmly believe a culture of transparency, accountability and communication across many areas will enable district staff to feel empowered and inspired to provide a safe and quality education for our students.

If you have any suggestions about how to implement these goals or have questions, ideas and/or concerns please reach out to me or any of the board members. I hope to hear from you about the good things and the bad things you experience through the trust you place in public education. I hope to see many of you around town, at kids sporting events, at the fair/rodeo, Fall Fest or other great community events. I hope to certainly see you at future board meetings as well, as it takes a village.

Lastly and most importantly I want to thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for the gifts, talents, abilities he’s give me. John 3:17.
